Ernesto Bosch


Ernesto Bosch was a prominent Argentine landowner, lawyer, and diplomat who served as the first President of the Central Bank of Argentina.

Ernesto Mauricio Bosch Pea was born to Rosario Pea and Francisco Bosch in Buenos Aires, in 1863. Raised in privileged circumstances, he enrolled at the University of Buenos Aires and earned a juris doctor in 1889 his thesis dealt with life insurance. Bosch married Elisa Mara de Alvear, with whom he had nine children.
